Our Thursday outing on the mountains of NC

Today we had planned on working and we did in the morning to some degree but in the early part of the afternoon we decided (very spontaneously) to drive up to the mountains of North Carolina. My sister in law and her family frequently visit Beech Mountain here in the Carolinas and since we weren't actually that far from there we decided to take a drive out there. It actually took us about three hours from Charlotte, we ended up having a really nice day. We finally made it up to Beech Mountain, we drove and drove and drove some more. It was nice, we then went to a pizza and pasta place that my sister in law recommended. It was pretty cool, people get to write different things on paper plates and they hang them from the wall and ceilings. Anyways, our family wrote a message and we left our prints in the restaurants as well. We fell in love with a community called "The Farms" and it's nice homes but in the valley of the carolina's, it was very nice. Although we took pictures, you can't really appreciate it unless you see it in person. Anyhow, we finally made it back to the hotel about 9:30pm. We are all exhausted and ready to hit the bed soon after sitting in a car round trip for seven hrs.
