I have been MIA - Just got back from a weekend retreat with our youth group at Campos San Jose in lake placid, Florida. Boy ! What a weekend it was. Not only were we with our incredible core leaders, amazing group of teenagers, wonderful priest Fr.Hugh, but we also were blessed with the presence of three missionary nuns staying at the house with us. These nuns do missionary work in south america and we had the chance to speak with them, very humble and amazing women.


Just a small re-cap of our weekend. Some of you know that I posted a while back about being discouraged in my ministry and not seeing the fruits blossoming within these teenagers and sometimes you won't until many years later. I was very close to walking away from this ministry until this weekend. The Lord as amazing and faithful as he always is shook me up and allowed me to see things this weekend that I needed to see in order to not walk away. I had the most amazing small group ever, the girls and core leaders in our group were just fascinating. We cried, laughed, talked and loved one another. The Lord allowed us to see him in each of our hearts and it was very very powerful. We had an amazing affirmation session in our group. So many teens affirmed one another with the power of Christ within them, it was just absolutely amazing.
